In the early 1980s, an ambitious Lutfiye (Lucy) Yilmaz moved to the United States from Turkey with a dream of becoming a very successful business owner. Armed with a certificate from the reputable Nail and Skincare school, Lucy sought to make her dream a reality. Lucy has been a nail technician over for 30 years, and for the past 20 years has been running one of the most talked about nail studios and day spas here in Reston, Virginia. Lucy is also one of the few authorized En Vogue Gel Nails Educators in this area, and travels to other salons to teach them the En Vogue Gel Nails technique. |

This technique can be traced back hundreds of years to Persia or India. It’s natural, safe, and quick. Nothing goes onto the skin, like wax or tweezers' tip, so you won’t get cut, bruised, or burned. The technician has more control of the thread, therefore it is more precise than waxing, and you do not have to wait for hours for the redness or irritation to go away, for there is none! And another benefit is that with threading, you can grab the shortest hairs. With waxing you have to wait until the hair grows out on the face and those short hairs that pop out on the face can be quite unattractive!
